The Uttar Pradesh Power Distribution Rehabilitation Project is co-financed by ADB and the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
The scope of the Project includes (a) rehabilitating the existing low voltage distribution networks in rural areas by replacing bare conductor LT distribution lines with aerial bunched cables (AB Cabling) and (b) Separating mixed 11 kV agricultural and general consumer feeders.
(Feeder separation).
The primary objectives of the project are; reduction of technical and commercial losses, conservation of energy and improvement of reliability and quality of supply provided in rural areas.
Further value addition is provided through improved maintainability and reduced life cycle costs of the electricity distribution networks in rural areas.The project scope includes establishment of effective mechanisms and procedures in accordance with Project Management System Software (web portal) and mobile apps for quality compliance.
